Here's this weeks Illustration Friday submission. The theme was ARTIFICIAL. I Left it until the absolute last minute this time around, just couldn't find the time or the brains to get much done this week, but here's a quick drawing of Doctor Octopus I just rushed together while listening to They Might Be Giants' Flood album, and then Strapping Young Lad's Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing. I always have trouble drawing his tentacles and making them look dynamic and at least a little bit correct in terms of perspective and proportions etc, but then I had a peek through some of the really early Spider-Man books where his tentacles were drawn a little bit more short, stumpy and goofy looking, and they kind of just jutted out at his sides, which made me feel a whole lot better about drawing him all flat and boring all the time.
